OMBRE. Watch out.

Filipinos love love stories. They rush to the nearest bookstore to buy new releases of books about lovers who start as strangers and end up marrying each other, lovers who start from being the best of friends, lovers who end up with just friendship, love stories seasoned with infidelity, to name a few. Moviegoers rush to the nearest mall to watch the cheesiest movie there is about love, be it John Lloyd with Bea, John Lloyd with Sarah, Enchong with Erich, or Melai with Jason, so long that it makes them cry, laugh, shiver and fall in love for a little while.

And this time, we bring you love.

Phylum Productions is proud to present an intriguing bromance story to the silver screen, sure to make you feel a different kind of love… with a little flick. Prepare to sizzle.

Written and Directed by Jonison Fontanos, dreams, destiny and love, in forms not known to many, come together in this full-length independent film, pre-slated to be shown early next year, 2011.

The synopsis here gives you an idea how.

OMBRE

A dreamer. A searcher. A different kind of love story that relies on destiny…

OMBRE tells the story of Jake, an aspiring actor who went to Baguio City for a reality star search audition. There, he meets Dennis, a photographer from Manila. Both stay in a transient house owned by Dennis’ gay best friend, Brix.

Jake is a dreamer. Dennis is a searcher who just got out of rehab. They became friends and secret lovers. While both of them have special someone waiting back in Manila, it becomes clear that there’s a bond between them that they’ve never felt with other people, and this feeling begins to grow into something deeper.

Is this LOVE?

And to people who prefer our language,

OMBRE

Isang nangangarap… Isang naghahanap…

The film features a couple of new faces who’ll surely captivate everyone’s emotion and attention. Again, prepare to sweat as the film introduces Zac Ferrero, Darwin Taylo, Lando Perez and Kimjee Abad, with Jobben Bello and more. You’ll know them real soon.

Stay updated. Watch out. You don’t wanna miss when these young guys show off what they have and are capable of! Again, first quarter of 2011. We’ll see you there.
